My sister wants to get a prayer quilt together for Weston to use in the NICU. Each square of the quilt will stand for the prayers that have covered him and will continue to do so. If you want to add a square to this quilt, send a 6" x 6" pre-washed square of 100% cotton fabric to my sister by July 30th. [Natalie Bryant-Rizzieri, 5300 Hidden Hollow Rd, Flagstaff AZ 86001.] Feel free to be creative with your square. It could be from a special piece of fabric you have, a worn-out favorite shirt, something you find, embroider, etc. Send it with a note and your name and she'll collect the notes and pass them on to us with the quilt shortly.
All of the babies in the NICU have blankets or quilts on their incubators to allow them to sleep. Right now Weston has one from the hospital, so I want him to have something a little more special. I mentioned a quilt to my sister, and she came up with this fabulous idea. Let's see if we can assemble the most special and beautiful quilt the St. Joseph's NICU has ever seen!
Also, I went to see Weston today. The last few visits have been pretty boring from a medical perspective, which is exactly what we want! Now we just really want him to start eating so he can GROW. Please pray for continued boring days and nights, growth, and no infections.
